“Work as if doing it for the Lord.” This phrase repeats in my mind when I am working whether at home, a project or at my job. Whatever it may be, I know that I need to always do my best to put forth my best. Truly work as if doing it for God. It’s hard not to work hard, with this saying in my mind. Admittedly though, there have been times where I have wanted to slack off, but I knew that whatever I was doing was a privilege of some sort and not one to just be lazy about it. Does that mean I am always great about it, no. But I do try to be. For I know that with God’s help I can do a task well. I also know that being lazy accomplishes little, but working hard is of great reward. Friend, whatever tasks we are given, may we give it our all. May we work in a way that reflects our character, and also God’s. May we not be afraid to ask Him for help, especially on those days when we are unmotivated. For though we work hard for ourselves, or others, we are also doing it for God. When we work hard it shows a level of gratitude for what we have. Though we may be more tired after working hard, it is always worth it.
