We all make mistakes and no one is perfect. It is what we do when we mess up that can make so much of a difference. The best thing we can do is hold ourselves accountable. I always ask myself, what is the next best thing? For though we cannot change our past, we can focus on how to make things better in the future. Going to God and apologizing, apologizing to someone if needed, learning from our mistakes, and moving forward with growing from it. Friend, we are human. We will make mistakes. What we do when we make them, is what can make a difference. May we go to God to help us navigate the next best steps. Also, may we remember to forgive ourselves too.

Proverbs 28:13 NIV
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Proverbs 24:16 NIV
for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.
Hebrews 12:10-11 NIV
They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
