Have you ever prayed for someone you didn’t know? I hope so. For no prayer goes unheard or unanswered, even if God does so differently than we wanted or expected. I know there were times in my life where people that did not even know me personally, prayed for me. Just this year when I had a series of health issues and my family and I went through some hard times; I know there were people praying for us. Their prayers helped make a difference and I am grateful for it. We should always pray for those which we hold near and dear, although it’s still important to pray for people we don’t know too. For we should not ever underestimate the power of prayer. For it is a direct line to God. He hears us and when we pray together, it a beautiful thing to witness. It is incredible what God can do! Friend, as we pray for loved ones, or ourselves, may we pray for even those we do not know. For prayer is powerful and we must pray for one another.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Ephesians 6:18 NIV
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
1 John 5:14-15 NIV
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
