I watched a man reach out to hold the hands of another, offering tender encouragement. The man in which he offered it to, had special needs. It was in his caregivers’ hands where he felt safe, at ease. No other voice could quite completely soothe his fears, but the one in which cared for him. It was a beautiful sight of love and care toward another human being to witness. As I stood there watching I did not just see a man with special needs. I witnessed a man being comforted by the one in which cared for him. You know, this is quite similar to how God cares for us. We are always in need of Him. In turn, He always is our caregiver, reaching out to hold onto our hearts and soothe our minds. No one but God can completely bring us solace and peace. For there is nothing quite so beautiful than that of the love our God gives to us. Friend, may we remember we are all in need of the most important caregiver, God. In Him we know that we are cared for beyond measure and loved beyond comprehension. For there is no other that can quite soothe our hearts and our minds like He can. May we reach out to God and keep Him with us on this journey that is life.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.4
