If you’ve ever had a dog, I’m sure that you know how special they can make you feel. From the moment that you walk through the door after being away from them, they excitedly greet you like you’re the most important person. Honestly, to them, you are. They are always eager to please you, spend time with you and love you. It got me thinking about how we should be that excited about God. Always wanting to be near Him, please Him, spend time with Him and His word and in prayer. We should love Him so much like He’s the most important in our lives. For He truly should be. Friend, though we may not be dogs, we can learn something from them. May we always be excited to be with God. Someday He’s going to come here and call all of us believer’s home. If we don’t get excited about Him now, it’s not going to be exciting when He comes. May God be the most special in our lives. Like a dog yearns for its owner, may we yearn for our Lord.
