When I was a little girl, my parents did not have a lot of money. Though, we were always taken care of. Though I remember that they did their best. Some years they were able to do more than others. I know my mom wanted to do more. I watched my parents work nonstop, doing the best that they knew how. I grew up appreciating even the smallest of things and knowing the value of a dollar. I remember there was a time someone, we still do not know who, dropped money off on our doorstep. Though I did not know my parent’s exact money situation, I knew that it helped our family a lot. God always came through for my family, He knew my parents were trying their best. Fast forward many years later, when I first became a single mom. I wanted to give my kids gifts for Christmas and I did not know how I was going to afford it. One day while working as a hairstylist, a random client I had just met, gave me a special gift. I do not know how this man knew, but I believe God had something to do with it. He placed cash in my hand and told me not to look until he was gone. After he left, in my hand was just the money I needed to give my kids a nice Christmas. My whole life God has found a way to care for me and my family. Even when the bills were high and the finances low. Now that does not mean we did not work hard and went around accepting handouts all the time. Though it does mean God knew we were trying and He always kept providing. I hope that God can really use me to give back to others in the future. Though I know when things are hard, God always provides. In some way, in some form. We live in expensive times, where inflation is high. Friend, if we keep being responsible, working hard, trusting in God, He will continue to be faithful in providing for us. Just as He does His creatures in the wilderness, surely, He will take care of us, His children. May we pray, when we feel overwhelmed. Trust, when we feel doubt. Remember hope and His faithfulness, from all the times He’s been there before for us. For His love is in abundance, even if our finances are not.

Matthew 6:26-27 NIV
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Philippians 4:19 NIV
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
