Sometimes as humans we put this unattainable pressure on ourselves for perfection. While others are quite content in their own sense of self. God asked us to strive for perfection. Meaning to continuously grow in our walk with Him. He knew we wouldn’t measure up, we’re imperfect. It our duty to be our best as we walk with Him and it His grace that covers the rest. There are some people that have a false sense of self. They think their perfect, but don’t see themselves through the lens of how God does. This thinking leaves little room for God to help them fully be the people He has designed. On the contrary, some are hard on themselves, feeling like they can’t be enough. Though the thing is my friend, God knows we’re all sinners, which is why He sent His Son to die for us. To cover our sins, with His grace. If we are thinking we’re so high and mighty and perfect, we don’t allow for true growth and grace. Though if we are so hard on ourselves, we inhibit our growth and don’t allow ourselves to fully receive the grace He is offering. In our striving for perfection, may we focus on His grace and direction. May we stop worrying so much about where we measure ourselves and focus on how much measure we are placing God in our lives. Do we place His perfection in our plight for being our best version of ourselves; knowing we are walking with God, growing in our faith and constantly striving to be the people He has called us to be? When we do mess up are we asking for forgiveness? Are we learning from those mistakes? Are we trusting God and His infinite grace to cover us? For we are humans and we are not perfect. Through we should be focusing on our walk with God, to be the best that we can be. For in Him we are perfectly loved. It is in that love that makes grace attainable, for when we are less than perfect.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Micah 7:18-19 NIV
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
