I came across a video of a woman and her grandchildren stuck inside a vehicle in a flood. The woman did her best to hold the children above the water, as the car was not fully submerged. Though this family was very much stuck and the situation was dire. What is so incredible about this is more and more bystanders started to come to the rescue. Diligently they worked to set this family free; even as it was hard and posed some dangers to themselves. However, that did not stop them from helping someone in need. Sometimes God sends guardian angels and sometimes He sends a fellow human being with a willingness to help. Friend, there are times where we feel like we got our head above water and we need someone to come along and be a friend, a helper. Whether literally or figuratively, we need each other. When God said we are to love one another, that is an action word too. May we be a helper to one another, for we need each other from time to time. May we love as God loves us and may we love, just as we are called.
