Pride when we know we’ve made a mistake, stops us from growing into our fullest potential. It inhibits us from fully being the people that God has called us to be. It clouds the goodness inside of ourselves and in the process can hurt the very people that care for us the most. Pride is a dangerous thing. It has the ability to hurt others; while also hurting ourselves. However, when we set aside pride and replace it with humility, it is there where growth can happen. It allows for us to fully grow in our walk with God, becoming the people that He has called us to be. That same humility allows us to offer love toward ourselves and others knowing that we too are not perfect. Friend, pride is a thief of unlimited potential of being the best version of ourselves. When we feel pride come over us, may we ask God to help our hearts. May we seek Him in helping us replace pride, with humility. May we look to God to help us not be prideful in our faults and to grow and learn; so, we can be the best version of ourselves. For a heart that chooses humility in the face of pride, finds true growth and something to be truly proud of.
