I have learned that we cannot run from our pain, our hurt, our regrets. For it will always follow us like a shadow, waiting to be noticed, to be seen, acknowledged. It does not go away and will follow us wherever we go, until we search for God’s light. It is in Him where we can find our strength to confront the pain within ourselves and through Him conquer the darkness in it that tries to consume. Like a shadow that follows us wherever we go, God too follows us. We can choose to live in the shadow of our pain, our hurt, our regrets. Or we can choose to live in God’s light and follow His path for redemption, joy, comfort, hope and love. The enemy loves to make us prisoners of a time we cannot change. Though God, He offers peace for our past and a hope in the now, the future, and our forever. Friend, when darkness tries to consume us, may we seek God’s light, seek His help. For a heart that chooses to seek God, always find Him. It is in this where we can find all the peace and love that we need to help us navigate all parts of life.
