We’ve had little rain recently and my normally green lawn is browning in spots, as little growth is happening and it pokes my bare feet. The lawn has remained un-mowed as to keep the nutrients below from drying it farther. Most of my neighbor’s lawns look the same, aside from the few that have an underground sprinkling system. Though I miss looking outside at my neatly trimmed, green grass. I know it’ll come back again. In the meantime, we wait for rain to nurture the ground below. I look ahead at our weather forecast and it shows rain is coming and I’m grateful for it. As I look at my once lively grass, I know soon enough it’ll be green again. I trust God as I put my hope in Him, knowing that He will nurture it again, with His life-giving rain. Friend, sometimes things are hard in life and things feel less beautiful than they were at times. But when we trust in God and we hang onto His hope, things will be beautiful again. For He will nurture us in His way and in His time with His life-giving water. In the meantime, He has a plan and is working it out for our good. We just need to hang tight and trust that we are nurtured and cared for by the greatest Gardner. The healing rain is coming and someday very soon I will look outside and my grass will be made beautiful once again.
