My family and I do during our devotionals something called, ‘blessings of the day.’ This is a time where we think of at least one thing to be grateful for that day. There have been stressful days where it seems harder to come up with something. Though these are the days it is especially important to. There have been many times where many of us had a few blessings to be said. Other times, we picked one simple blessing. We started doing this because it is all too easy to not stop and appreciate what God has done for us. Sometimes when things are harder, we need to also remember our good. When things are good, we need to take the time to recognize the blessings. Friend, whether through the hard or the good, may we think of a blessing everyday. For life itself is a blessing, what God does for us is a blessing, what Jesus did on that cross for us is a blessing. The hope that we have in Him, is always a blessing worth remembering. For though life is not perfect, there is a blessing we can find every day; may we be grateful to God for it.
