Sometimes rest is difficult. We can sit or lie down; but turning off our thoughts to allow our minds to relax can be difficult. We think about our stresses, anxieties, or our day in general, or the future. Sometimes there is so much that occupies our mind that we leave little room for God’s peace. I am guilty of doing this myself. It is hard sometimes to take the things that consume our minds and fully release them to God. To sometimes just take a breath and go to Him in prayer. To allow Him to give us peace in our minds, instead of all our attention on those things that try to consume it. We find ourselves at times replaying events, overthinking things, obsessing about details or expectations for us. When we need to remember to spend time with God in prayer and fill our thoughts with His word, His wisdom, His promises and His peace. Friend, may we strive, continually, to place God as number one in our lives so much, that He consumes our minds the most. That way we have His wisdom and His peace as we navigate this life; may we rest in His love.

Exodus 33:12-14
Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me. ’If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
