He brings me flowers, to show that he cares. He shows up when I need him and he stands beside me, through it all. He tells me I’m beautiful, when I don’t look my best. He acts as though I’m funnier than I actually am. He encourages me to chase my dreams and helps me to do so. He works hard to support our family. Most of all, he nurtures our faith and walk with the Lord. I admire my husband for the man that he is. Though I loved him when we were first married, I love him even more now. For our love has grown deeper as we have navigate this life together as husband and wife, and as parents. I am grateful to God that he is my husband.
We live in a broken world and finding love as God has designed, can be very difficult. Though my marriage is not perfect; it is one built on genuine love, with God at the center. Being that God is the guide in our marriage, is why it is as good as it is. For it keeps us centered on His design for marriage and what it can and should look like. Friend, I encourage us all to keep God at the center of our marriage. That we don’t give into what culture tries to say is normal and acceptable. That we look at what God calls marriage to look like. For though no marriages will be perfect, they sure can be wonderful; when we allow God as our guide in them.
