When I think back to my past hardships, it is easy to see that God was there. Even when at the time I did not fully acknowledge Him or realize it. As humans we have a tendency to praise ourselves for overcoming obstacles. Although we make the conscious choice to make certain decisions in our life regarding those hardships; it is God that goes with us, fighting on our behalf, being our strength, our help and our hope. May we not let our arrogance or pride overshadow His grace, His protection, His provisions and His love. As we think about all the things that we have been through and overcome; may we remember that God was there. That He always has been and always will. May we remember to give Him praise and gratitude for all that He has done in our lives and all that He will continue to do. For in gratitude, we can better see just how much He cares for us and how much He has done for us all. Most of all, just how much God truly does love us.
