Mirror, mirror on the wall
What’s inside matters most of all
The best beauty comes from within
A pure heart, that stands against sin
Kindness, generosity, love and care
Not in makeup or the clothes that we wear
Not in popularity or even fame
A title, position or if everyone knows our name
All the glitz and all the glam
Do not make me what I am
For I know where the best beauty does reside
From somewhere deep inside
Mirror, mirror on the wall, if only you could see
Inside our hearts, our true beauty
If inner beauty is what mirrors could show
Is what it reveals, what we want to know
Are we the people that God has called us to be
Are we the people, we thought we’d see
Mirror, mirror on that wall
Have we been the person in which God has called
He looks at our hearts, not the reflection of a mirror
He can see things better, and see true beauty clear

Real Reflection
1 Peter 3:3-4 NIV
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
