We were filthy; covered in grease, sweat and dirt. A YouTube, how-to on repeat. We had spent the whole day fixing something on my vehicle. It was hot and tiring. Yet, somewhere between determination and exhaustion was perseverance and joy. For my husband and I were completing a project together and as we prayed God was guiding and helping us along the way. We started with a prayer of help and ended in a prayer of gratitude! During the process when things were getting tricky, a prayer would be said and God would faithfully help us. We went to bed, with thankfulness set in our hearts and relief that swept over us. My vehicle was back on the road and the cost significantly less than what it could have been. God is good. I am grateful that together, my husband and I, with God’s help; successfully got things up and running smoothly.

When things in our life need fixing it is easy to just give up. However, when we have God with us as we work together to fix whatever needs mending, it is amazing how wonderful things can be. Sometimes things seem messy and hard, but with God all things are possible. He can help us in tricky or trying times. He can help us when we just feel broken down and stuck. He can help us in however we need help. Sometimes He will use others as a helping hand. Other times He uses His wonderful ways to perform His miracles. Sometimes a mix of both. Friend, if you’re feeling a little broken down and like you could use some fixing; Go to God. Whether is a material project, or something much, much bigger. God hears our prayers and He wants to help us. May we remember to go to Him always. Rather when things are going great or we need some assistance. For it is in Him where we find relief and where things run much smoother.
