There we stood, my youngest son and I. An adventure awaiting in front of us; for a big waterpark was inviting us in. There were water slides I had never experienced before and my son had found a way to convince me to give them a go. We spent hours at the waterpark exploring all that it had to offer. I only saying no to a few things, that I knew were a little too big for us. It was a fun day and we both came home with a little sun and most of all, a whole lot of wonderful memories made.  Children are truly blessings and I am so grateful to God for the blessing of being a mom to my children. I am sure you can relate friend. Whether we are watching a movie, playing a game, going to a waterpark or whatever it may be, even the seemingly small stuff; every moment with our children is a blessing. My boys are still fairly young and not yet adults, but I will always enjoy their company; even as they grow up and become their own men. For I will always be mom and they will always be my children.

We live in a fast-paced world. A at times, distracting world. Sometimes life can keep us too busy to really enjoy our families. Today it was my son and I and we just played all day in the water and it was special. We lived in the moment and experienced new and fun adventures together. I rode water slides I did not know I was brave enough for. He experienced so many new water rides that he thoroughly enjoyed. We laughed, we played and we created memories. Though I cannot go every day with him, every day I can strive to spend time with my boys creating special moments together. Friend, may we just slow down and just enjoy our kids. They truly are blessings from God, may we treat them as such. For memories are not made, when time is not spent. Though time is always spent well with loved ones.
