There is no denying the fact that this is election year. It is a popular subject and many people have their opinions. I am not here to say who should or should not get voted in for presidency. That’s between you, your research, your conscience and God. I am however here to say that just because we disagree with someone, even if our points are valid, we should not tear them down. We can boldly, respectfully, fight our cause based on merit and truth; without fighting our cause based on bringing down another human being. I see a lot of slander and maliciousness with all sides of the candidates and those in which follow them. Disagreeance looks a lot like hate these days. Standing up for our morals, beliefs, our faith is essential and crucial. Though we must go about it lovingly, not filled with hate. When I think of when Jesus walked the earth, I do not picture Him going around being unkind. I know that He always spoke truth; but with grace. Even as others were being unkind to Him. He did not back down from His mission, but pursued it with love. If we are to truly make a difference in our world around us, we have to fight with love like Him, not cruelty. For fighting with anger, maliciousness or hate only leads to more ruin. Fighting with love and truth speaks louder. Friend, may we share our truth in love and not hate. For if we really want what is best, we will fight in truth, but also peaceably. For hate does not come from God, but the enemy; and the only way to truly win anything, is to have God on our side.

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with a blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
John 13:34-35 NIV
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
