My strength comes from the Lord

I didn’t feel up to doing housework today. I have some health conditions that I am still working through. I found myself much too tired, to do much.  Although, little by little, I started checking things off of my list. Eventually accomplishing all my tasks for the day. In fact, I did more than I had expected. It also helped that I had help along the way. My youngest tackled cleaning most of the bathroom himself, while I cleaned some other things. God surely gave me strength for what I felt much too tired to do. Even sending in reinforcements to help with the load. I am grateful for my son’s willingness to help and God’s strength for the day.

Friend, sometimes in life the load seems heavy and we do not always feel up to the task. However, God will always give us extra strength to complete whatever it is we may need. Sometimes it is just giving us this strength and energy that can only come from Him. Other times, it is sending us help. Or like today, both. We must remember to go to God in prayer and praise Him as He lifts us up and helps us with our daily tasks. For it is in Him, strength is found and we can do things, we couldn’t otherwise do. For our strength truly does come from the Lord and I am so very grateful for it.

Isaiah 40:29-31

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Psalm 121:1-2 NIV

I lift my eyes to the mountains- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
