Anger. A word we have all experienced in our lives. Sometimes we may be the ones that are angry, other times, we have been on the receiving end of it. It is a normal emotion, what we do with it is where it counts. Do we lash out when we are angry and react sinfully? Or do we stop, think, and pray about it; instead of reacting? Trusting God to be God and handle the situation justly. Things are always better when we allow God to handle it, instead of handling things ourselves. Reacting with anger, only causes more fuel to the already raging fire. Making everything worse.
When emotions are high and anger rules, our reaction should always be to go to God. He can handle things better than we ever could. He is a just God. He can hold the offender accountable and He can also work on their hearts. However, if we react with anger or fury, we are putting things in our hands and not God’s. This is always dangerous, as anger never gives way to clarity. Seeing the big picture and reacting in the way in which God has called. When someone acts angrily toward us may we just walk away, pray, and let God work with them. When we feel anger coming over us, may we pray, before react. May we replace anger with grace. Or sometimes, just walk away and let God take care of things. I promise you he knows and He sees all. He is working things out, but we have to stop trying to play His role and allow Him to be God.
Friend, anger is a big emotion and when not handled in the right way, can wreak havoc for all involved. Though when we go to God instead of ourselves, it is there where things can be made right. May we remember to trust God to handle situations. To handle anything that creates anger inside of us or others. For anger divides, though God can set things right. May we be ruled by His wisdom when we are angry and not the big feelings inside of ourselves. A heart that chooses to go to God when angry, finds more peace and true solutions to the problem. But a heart that chooses anger over God, finds more hardship.
