When I went grocery shopping most recently, I was at the checkout when I realized that I had forgotten an item. I decided I would just make do without it. I even contemplated going to another store to buy it, though I did not feel up to it. Ultimately, I went home and decided we would go without it this week. It was something that wasn’t an essential. Fast forward, shortly after, I found out that the particular food item I forgot to buy, had just got recalled. A few weeks back I wasn’t feeling well and I called my husband home from work to see a Dr. On the way to the Drs., we witnessed an accident that had happened a few minutes prior. We looked at the time and judging from the accident, my husband could have been involved or affected by it. Though that day I did not feel well and something told me to call him home earlier than we had planned. Though our hearts were heavy for those involved, and we prayed for them; we praised God that my husband was not a part of it. Not too long ago when I had my pulmonary embolism; it could have got missed. I was not going to share all of my symptoms, as I did not think it was related and did not want to make a big deal out of it. However, something inside of me told me that I needed to let the Dr know. So, I just made mention of it. That one comment, led her to performing a just in case test, that revealed I needed emergency intervention. These are just some examples on the top of my head. There have been many more instances in my life that have reminded me, how there truly is a God. Whether it is something small or big; He looks out for us. I am sure my friend, that you can look back at times in your life where you knew that God was looking out for yourself or maybe a loved one. We get so caught up at times, we do not stop and thank God enough for His grace, mercy and watch over our lives and those of our loved ones. Today and every day; may we just take the time to pause and say, “Thank you God.” May we thank Him for the things we know about and the things that we do not. We often pray with asking, we also need to pray with thanking. For though things are not always easy, He is always faithful and that is something always worth praising Him for. For in the unknown and the known, one thing is for certain; He has so lovingly watched out for us as His children.
