“Let me do it.” This sentiment is often stated from my husband. Not because he thinks I lack the ability, but because sometimes I struggle. Whether that be from not feeling well or of time restraint. He is my helper and my best friend. I live with a chronic condition and recently have had some other health problems added to it. If I had to do this life without him, things would be far more difficult. God often gives me the strength to supersede my expectations of what I can do. However, He also often reminds me of the blessing that He sent me, in my husband. When my husband says; “Let me do it,” it is not a condescending sentiment; but one said with love. I wonder how often God says this to us. Often, we try to do things that are beyond our abilities and weights not ours to carry. I can just see God standing beside us, “Let me do it.” How often we do not surrender our fear or our pride and let God be God. To be our strength, our comfort, our peace. We ask God where He is when we need Him, yet, refuse to acknowledge Him. Friend, whatever you are going through in this life; it really is ok, to let God do it. Let Him take control. Let Him be our helper, our best friend. For He so lovingly waits to helps us, we need but to take a breath and truly let Him. For without God life truly is difficult.
