I can be critical sometimes. In my fear, I sometimes assume the worst. It is not one of my favorite traits. My husband is the opposite and often assumes the best. I love that about him. Though there is nothing wrong with seeing the big picture; including the good and hard, we must remember to make sure that we’re staying positive too. We can do this by wholly trusting God. I am learning this. Sometimes we are critical because instead of putting our confidence in the Lord, we put our confidence in ourselves, or others. I have found when I am critical, it complicates things; making things harder than what maybe they would have been. However, when I put my confidence in God and stay positive because of who He is and what He can do, it is there I find joy and His peace knowing that no matter what; He’s in control. Friend, it is easy to be critical but if we choose to trust God in all things, we can better see things in a better light. It is there where we can see the positive.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
