Food in my cupboard, food in my fridge, fresh water to drink

Every time I want more, I must just stop and think

I have clothes on my back, a comfy spot upon my bed

A place to call my own, with a roof over my head

I have people that love me and that I love dear

So many blessings that God has given me here

I have so many blessings that I am grateful for

I must just stop and think, every time I want more

So often we get in a wanting state of mind

Forgetting to take the time

To really see all that we have been given

In this life, that we are living

In our want, may we remember how we’re blessed

Then we can realize, we have the best

For everything God has given us, are gifts from Him

Though He’s already given us, the gift to take away our sin

May we stop and think, the next time we want more

To be grateful for our blessings, for there so much to be thankful for

For He continues to take care us, with such care and love

Blessing are reminders, just how much we are thought of

With Him we have all that we need, with all He has supplied

When for our sins, upon that cross, life He gave, as He then died

May we not get an always wanting more attitude

Instead give praise to God, with a heart of gratitude
