All His majesty

I stepped outside early this morning and was greeted by spring. The air was warmer, with moisture to be felt, as a few raindrops dripped from the tress that were kissed with them from the nighttime shower. It was quieter than I usually hear. Most people still probably asleep or maybe already having left for work. The only sound that really could be heard aside from my dog and I, were the sounds of the birds singing their morning songs. So many birds, that there were many types of them to be heard. Almost sounding like a chorus. For although they sang different tunes, they all seemed to harmonize into a beautiful melody. I thought wow, this must be what heaven sounds like.

There is something so peaceful about the way the birds sing. They are all so enjoyable to watch. They are full of character and beauty. I love watching them fly; especially, the big birds. Have you ever watched a hawk or eagle soar in the sky? It’s magnificent! Where we live, we get a lot of seagulls. They are remarkable to watch flying against sunsets and over the water. I truly enjoy all types of birds; I enjoy the liveliness of them. They not only bring me peace, but they always make me think of Heaven. They are intelligent and always instinctively trust their God-given instincts. We have many different types of birds that visit our feeders and that is something to be grateful for. For they are truly just another part of Gods’ beautiful creation.

It got me thinking, how much time in the business of our days, do we take the time to just pause and listen to the birds? To watch them, peacefully sing and beautifully fly? We get so caught up in the things that can so easily consume us, that we do not always appreciate the beauty outside our doors. But if we stop and take the time, to really listen; we are reminded of God’s beauty. Whether that be watching the birds or something else wonderful in nature, that we enjoy. I believe nature is a reminder of God’s beauty and how He cares for all His creation; especially us. Take a deep breath my friend, step outside. Go into nature, soak it up. While you’re out there, listen to the birds. Their melody plays like a song; reminding us of His majesty and the love that God has for all of His creation.

Psalm 24:1-2

The earth Is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
