Although I love the sunshine, a rainy day every so often is refreshing. I watch the raindrops fall as they nourish the ground and clean the things in which they touch. It got me thinking about God’s love. Although He is the ultimate sunshine and light in our lives; He also is like the rain. His love nourishing our souls and cleaning our hearts with the way that He touches our lives. Friend, although many of us love the sunshine; we must also appreciate the rain. As like nature, we need both to grow. I could be frustrated that I could not play outside today or I can sit back and praise God for the life-giving rain. As I look out my window the grass is already becoming greener, as nature looks cleaner. I am grateful for His sunshine and also grateful for the rain in which helps things grow. May we remember instead of complaining that there is no sunshine; to enjoy it in its own beauty and its purpose.

Isaiah 45:8 NIV
“You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.
