I am getting to a point in my life where I would rather listen to wise instruction, than listen to the sound of my own voice. For wisdom is learned and also acquired. I gained a lot through learning and I am learning a lot now through listening. For I have seen just how fast time goes by and I don’t want to just get older, I want to grow wiser. For I’m going to age until the good Lord allows it, but I want to live my life purposefully. I want to live a wiser life, one in which I walk with God. As my ultimate goal is to be with Him someday. I know that living a life not growing in wisdom, is just getting old. I would rather have wisdom to back up my age. Often, I ponder that I should have listened to the wise sooner. Though I am listening now. I want to follow where He leads and listen to His wise instruction and those, He uses to help teach it.

   We live in a noisy world, a world that hears its own wants and desires; and not always what needs to be heard. We often choose our own way or the way of the world; instead of choosing to follow God’s word and instruction. It does not benefit anybody when we do this. I will admit I am human and I too, do not always heed to wisdom. Though, as I grow, I am now more than ever. Friend, may we choose wisdom, even when it does not seem easy. Being wise is not always an easy choice, though it is always the right one. One that we won’t regret choosing.
