Sometimes I feel a little outside, looking in
Of what is accepted, in a world of sin
Though I have my own sin to bear
This world has changed, this is clear
It is different than the world once known
The choices, the culture, the customs shown
Often, I disagree with the worldly point of view
I feel it is lost, broken and from God eschewed
I miss the world I used to know
Though that seems like so long ago
I look around, and I truly care
About everything that is happening here
God has given this life, to do things right
Though I worry, about what’s in my sight
The things that this world, does indulge in
Separates us, farther from Him
This world needs prayer, to get on track
Though it is hard to fix, when don’t see what it lacks
This world is loved, even in its guilt and shame
Somehow God loves us, all the same
I am looking in, thinking of the world, and what it used to be
It just seems like a distant memory
Someday God will rectify, he will make things new
A life cleansed from corruption, revelation proves it true
Sometimes I feel outside, as I am looking in
I look forward to the day, the worlds not plagued with sin

Someday made new
Revelation 21:5 NIV
He who was seated on the throne said,” I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
