I was watching videos online and came across one that gave me a special thought. The video was very short, but spoke deeply. It was one of an older man with dementia, bowing in prayer. Whoever had taken the video had put in a message, that even though their grandfather remembered little; he always remembered to pray. I loved this. So many do not have that disease and yet, still do not take the time to pray. It also got me thinking about how important God must have always been in this man’s life. I pray that if there’s ever a day that my mind fails me; that I will still remember God.
Friend, in this busy and sometimes distracting life; may we not forget God. For He does not ever forget us. Life has meaning because of Him and we have life because of what He did for us. This video had made my heart happy as I watched the older man with his face bent down, his hands in prayer and as he spoke to the Lord. Though his mind had failed him, his love for God remained. What a special love he had for Him. If this man with a disease that takes away so much of himself can still remember God; then what excuse do we have to not take the time to spend with our Lord?
