Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend that God is holding me. Telling me all is well and that everything is going to be okay. Then I look at my husband who wraps his arms around me, holds me and reassures me that everything will. I truly believe through God’s compassion and love; that He places special people in our lives to help us. We as humans crave touch and God knows that. So, there are certain moments where He knows we will need the comfort of that; so, He gifts us with loved ones that can. Not ever does God not have a way to fill our hearts with just what we need. Sometimes it is in His word, other times, it is in the gentle holding from someone dear.
Friend, God is kind and caring. Sometimes the way He holds us is by sending our loved ones to envelop us when our hearts need the warmth of touch. If you need a hug my friend, do not be afraid to reach out to loved ones, they are truly blessings. Also, if you have a loved one who needs a hug, please do not hesitate to gift them with one. Life can be fragile at times and we need each other my friend. In a world that needs comfort at times, may we offer the love we know God so generously gives us. There is something heavenly and beautiful about human compassion and care; for it is something that truly comes from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV
Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
