I do not have a specific name for my faith, other than Christian. I am not a fan of religion, as I have watched it separate and divide people. Which is not what real faith should do. Faith did not ever have a name when it first began. Over time names were created. For me, faith is a pure love and a relationship with God. Loving Him, loving people, believing in Jesus and what He did for us, the Holy Trinity, and His word. Faith is not a title; it is a walk of believing in Him who gave us life and sending His son Jesus for us so that we have the chance to repent, and be with Him always. I know a lot of great, religious people, that genuinely love God. However, they think only their religion is right. Some fall into customs of their religious ideologies and lose their focus on their faith. For all the religions in the world cannot save. Only God and His Son can do that. Friend, I do not have a perfect walk with God, but it is a real one. It is one where I make mistakes, but I strive to be better. It is a raw, honest one, filled with imperfections and awareness of my need for Him. I will admit I do not know scripture as well as I would like and I do not have it all figured out; but I look forward to learning more always and growing in my faith. Though that’s exactly it. Not grow in my religion; I want to grow in my walk with God. Friend, there are so many religions out there. Some things in those religions are true, some are misguided. The most important thing that we must remember is that it was never about religion, but faith and a relationship with God. For many can have facts or opinions, or ideas; but only the Bible holds the truth. It cannot be altered to fit agendas. It is His word. Friend, if going to a specific religious church makes you feel more connected to God; there is nothing wrong with that. As long as they are following what the Bible says. The problem is where one gets caught up in the customs of their religions and do not keep their focus on God. For faith was not meant to divide people, but connect them to God and each other.
