Born in a cold world,
On what would become Christmas day
In a stable, in a manger,
There He did lay
In humble condition
His life already being sought
While others have Him
Not even a thought
Though the wisest men
Sought the star
That led them to
A place so far
They knew though
That He was our saving grace
They brought Him gifts
As they saw His face
Looking into the eyes of God’s son
Redemption was there
The time had come
Sheppard’s were told of His birth
They excitedly went, to see
The son of God
Who would someday set us free
The angels sang and celebrated
For they knew
This was the child
Who would someday save me and you
Through the coldness
A gift was born, in a manger He did lay
To give us the meaning
Of this Christmas day
For it cannot be found in the stores
Or under the Christmas tree
Cannot be bought with fancy titles
Or all the money
For it is a gift already received
One that we cannot repay
For this was the ultimate gift
The reason we call it, Christmas day
