The enemy will come and try to get in your mind

As he tries to set you back, make you feel behind

The enemy will show you all that you lack

All your mistakes, that you can’t take back

The enemy will come and cause you to obsess

To try and make your mind a mess

The enemy will come, placing doubt in your heart

In an effort from you, to God, depart

The enemy comes with no good intention

How it ends, is on your objection

Do you choose to listen, when he gets in your head

Or do you remember God’s word and all that’s been read

Is it regret that echoes or that you’re forgiven

As God has paved a new way of living

Do you obsess with burdens weight

Or find it lifted with God’s given, clean slate

For the enemy comes, to separate

Though God’s perfect love, can drive out that hate

The enemy comes with evil contention

To try and sever, with God, our connection

So study God’s word, don’t forget what was read

Like armor it is, when the enemy tries to get in your head

Stay in prayer, with God, in continual conversation

Remembering His love and salvation

So let go of all that the enemy places in your mind

God’s love for you, won’t leave you behind

Remember most, that when under attack

That God has a love, that He won’t take back

Don’t obsess and let go of doubt

It is God’s grace and love, that casts all that out

So when the enemy comes, call out to God above
