Teach them about God

A baby cries and waits for their parent to console them, to be comforted in their arms and to feel the security of their closeness. A child seeks the advice from them on how to navigate all the different stages and milestones in life. Even as that very child ages into adulthood; they still seek that same love and connection to the parents that gave them life. Though it is not only them that gives life, for whom really gives it, is one who does not age, and is always present in every aspect of our lives. He being the one whom breathed the very breath into our lungs and gave us this life. Yet, though parents are an extension of God’s love and so very needed in the lives of their children; may we not forget about the one who really gave us all life. Like a new babe, may we go to God to console us as we grow. For finding that security with the Lord; is an assurance that we can always be comforted by His closeness at all times. Like a child growing in the knowledge and wisdom of this life; may we find our growing in His word. As we become adults, like a parents love that still remains no matter the age of their child; God loves us as well, at any age, and we must go to Him too. For like a child connected through the stages of life to their parent; we must stay connected to God through this life that He has given us. As we seek out that continuous comfort, guidance and love from our parents; may we also always seek out God.  Through the many ways my parents gave me love; the most loving thing that they ever gave me was the knowledge of God and His love for me. Friend, no matter the age that we are, we must keep God close to us. For He always is. For those that maybe did not have the parents they so needed and deserved, know, that you always have God. Parents, the best thing we can do for our children; is to teach them about God and His love. For without Him in this life, we lose how wonderful this life can be and the hope of what comes, long after this life is over.

Proverbs 22:6 NIV

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
