My husband and I spent some time with a very special cousin of mine. She’s my first cousin, though I do not see her near enough. I always feel nostalgic with a special type of peace and joy after being with her. She is the oldest out of us bunch and I am the youngest; yet, we have a special bond. We shared stories both old and new. We laughed and even got emotional at times. My husband probably only got a few sentences in; while we seemed to be in our own little world at times. There are certain people in our families that hold special places in our hearts. They’re like treasures, rare and special. They know you as you are and love you where you are at. Friend, if you are so blessed to have a special treasure like such in your life; cherish them. For there is something healing inside of us when we spend time with those rare treasures in our life. Like a collector dusts off and cares for the special jewels in their life; may we treat the extra special people in our lives with the same love and care. For God does not bless us with people in our life, to not take the time to cherish them.
