God as our guide

A few years back we had moved to a new area. I was by myself and on my way home. As I drove in the dark, which I do not like doing as it is; it became evident I was not where I was supposed to be. My GPS for some reason was not being of any help and I found myself lost. I began to realize I must have passed my exit and at times discovered I was driving in circles. I called my husband crying as I had really gotten turned about. I needed to send in my reinforcement for help. However, being that he was new to the area as well, telling him road signs did not seem to help him find me. Though my husband did not give up! He found a map and started reading it, to get me home. Reminding me that he would indeed get me there! That it would be ok. Talking to my husband made me feel better and I felt at peace knowing somehow, someway, no that he would find me and lead me home. After sometime and careful directions, I made it home. In the comfort of my husband’s arms. Friend, I feel like in life sometimes we lose our way at times. We find ourselves off the path intended or getting turned about. Though God always knows how to find us and He will not ever stop reaching out to us. He is always there, waiting to guide us home, to His loving embrace. We must just call out to Him, and listen to His word. For when we travel on the path of life, having God as our guide, we are comforted knowing; we are not lost. For with God guiding us, we will always end up at the destination in which He intended.
