Do not judge

Sometimes there is relief when being with the broken; for the ones that seem so put together, find so easily to judge the ones in pieces. Often people cast judgement on others. Christians are sometimes the ones that do this the most. Despite as believers, knowing we ought not to. It is all too easy to see through the lens of judgement, not ours to make, then to see through the lens of love. Friend, we must remember to not assume. We must stop and look at ourselves, instead of finding fault in another. For sometimes things are not what we think. Sometimes there are things we need to work at in our own lives. Even when there are some things we may know based on fact; it is best to pray and let God address it. For He examines hearts and understands them better than anyone. It is best to step aside and let God be the judge. For a casted judgement can be folly, but His judgement is what matters and is never wrong. For only God can truly judge and it is He who can truly change hearts. So may we choose to pray, in place of judge. For what is the intention in human judgement? Would it not be better to pray for them, encourage them or maybe step aside knowing we do not know, what God knows? Friend, may we choose love and prayer over judgment. For a heart that chooses not to judge, but love, finds more love in their own hearts to give.

Matthew 7:1-2 NIV

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

1 Samuel 16:7 NIV

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

James 4:11-12 NIV

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
