I listened to the same song on repeat. For as I listened, the song brought comfort to my soul. I needed that this week. I truly believe that God has gifted us with music. For no matter what emotions, we are feeling; there is a song for it all. A song of hope, a song of peace, of praise. I think about all the songs that sometimes my heart needs to hear and how beautiful the sound touches my heart. Then I think about how glorious the sound of the angels must sound. Music is an old remedy for hurting hearts. Its for everybody and anybody who wants to listen. It is like a deep breath, breathing out all the big feelings from inside. Music is one of my favorite ways to praise God. For it comes from a place deep within, delighting not just to those who sing or hear; but to God. Friend, I hope that whatever you have got going on in your life, that you bring music along with you. Not just any music, but music that you know comes from God. For music is truly a gift.
