Worthy

What are we feeding our thoughts in moments when we feel defeated? The devil loves to make us question our self-worth, to doubt our abilities and gifts, to put ourselves down when we fall a little short. I too, am a victim to the devils’ schemes on my self- worth. The other day I put myself down casually, without real thought. It took my ten-year-old son to remind me, not to talk badly about myself. It was humbling, in that moment I had not fully thought about what I was telling myself. I told him that he was right, and I was grateful that he reminded me. Though I am usually good about knowing my worth because of who God says that I am, every so often I doubt myself. I know that in those times I am being attacked, as the devil does not want me to be the woman that God has called me to be. Creating doubt, is his way of separating me from the wonderful plans God has for my life, for His glory. Many of us have unfortunately doubted ourselves in one way or another, at one time or another. Friend, God has great plans for us, using the gifts and abilities that He has given us. We must remember that when we start to question our worth, to look to who God says that we are; that we are made in His image, He has a purpose for our life, and that we are loved by Him more than we can ever imagine. You are so very special my friend. For in Him, is where our purpose resides and it is there, where we find our worth.
