Eternity in mind

My husband and I recently did some extra home improvement projects. I was covered in some paint; my nails were hiding dirt and my face was dirty. My husbands as well. However, through the hard work, there was gratitude and joy. For I was grateful for the privilege of my lovely home and I was happy to be caring for the blessing of it. For having a home is a blessing from God. May we treat it as such. Though it takes work to maintain. It is always worth it. It got me thinking about my faith. It takes work too. Sometimes it’s a little messy in the process, but it is always worth it. For like caring for my physical home; I know I must care for my eternal home, by how I live out my faith. For there is nothing more worthy in this life; then nurturing our faith in it. Friend, as we care for our earthly home, may we care even harder about our eternal home. Though it is a blessing and we must take care of our home here; it is a fleeting home. We cannot take it with us when we die. It is so especially essential that our hearts are nurtured with eternity with Christ in mind. For through Him, is the loveliest home of all.
