Choose Joy

Early in the morning yesterday my husband and I were awoken by a crash coming from the other room. We both rushed out of bed to investigate. What we found was that our cat had gotten a hold of her jar of treats and knocked them down. In turn, causing them to create a waterfall of spilled treats, that she very much enjoyed eating. My husband and I had two choices; to be mad about it all, or to find some humor in it. Friend, my dad always told me don’t sweat the small stuff. The little annoyances or the small things that happen that are out of our hands. We chose to laugh about it and just clean up the mess. Our cat, in which we all love, was proud of herself and had a great morning of desserts. We were able to get in a good laugh. Life is a blessing from God. When an opportunity arises to find joy, in something that we could find annoying; may we choose joy. For being upset about the small things, makes them bigger than they ever needed to be. Friend, isn’t it better sometimes, just to have a good laugh?
