There’s a sweet old man down the road a bit, that sits in his lawn chair in his yard and waves at everyone whom passes by. His hope is that a friendly stranger will wave hello back. This man inspires me, without a word being said. For his action of kindness toward even a stranger, speaks volumes. A kind man makes small talk to the down and out woman behind the register. Though little was said, the friendly exchange gave her some joy, through whatever it was that ailed her heart and mind. The young woman short on funds to pay for her groceries, is offered a generous gift of love. This filled more than her stomach, but filled her heart as well. Jesus instructed us the two most important commandments; Love God most and love people. I cannot help but to think by the kindness of such strangers that their love for God is there, by the way they love people. I am humbled at times at how much better I could be in both of these commandments. Will you join me friend in following these two commandments better? For with following these, everything else seems to fall into place. For when we love God and love people, we not only do as we are instructed; but we can find a special type of joy, in this hurting world.

Mark 12:30-31 NIV
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
