There are these certain special photographers that venture out to different places and take pictures of random people. Usually, the people they choose are not ones to the world’s standards of model appearance. People we would least expect to be photographed. Yet, these photographers catch the beauty of the strangers behind their lens. Their wrinkles, the dirt on their face, the wrinkled clothes and the crooked smiles. So easily we walk past one another seeing the surface, missing the beauty. These photographers lens slow the moment of their unique models of choosing. Suddenly the woman with wrinkles, her face shines with stories. The man with dirt on his face, illuminates the beauty of his eyes. The crooked smiles are bright and beautiful, genuine; ones that bring about a contagious smile. These people may not be the world’s standard of beauty at first glance. What they model is the standard of beauty as God sees us. He loves us and sees our beauty in ways that some walk past. He sees our hearts and cherishes us, as we are created in His image. Friend, like the photographer that slows down the frame, to see the still moment of a stranger’s beauty; God sees us that way in all moments. You are beautiful and loved my friend. For the one whom made the beautiful sunsets and sunrises, made you. Passing glances from a stranger cannot fully capture the wonderful you God created. You are more beautiful than the loveliest snapshot, because of who lives inside of you. You are so dearly loved. No matter what the world says your beauty is, whether highly attractive or not to the world’s standards; you are beautiful as you are my friend. I pray when you look in the mirror you see the wonderful creation God made, you.
