My husband and I ventured out for a lovely walk yesterday evening. All around us were big, strong maple trees and pine trees. There were various types of plants that surrounded us. So much of God’s beauty could be found. As we continued on our path forward, we saw sand dunes in the distance and we could hear the sound of water up ahead. As we continued on, our path had come to an end. We were no longer on a wooded trail; we were now looking at dunes surrounding us on each side and our path had turned to sand. As we continued on further, the sound of waves hitting the shore became louder and there it was; the great lake. We stood there and watched the waves hit the shoreline in awe of its splendor. We had made it to our destination and so headed back home. Although ready to rest from our adventure, we both felt calmer, peaceful and more relaxed. Friend, when was the last time you took a walk in nature? For there is something about nature that is soothing for our souls. God definitely knew what He was doing when He made nature in all its splendor. Even Jesus Himself would head to nature to be at peace and spend more time with God. Friend, I hope that you can go outside and enjoy God’s creation. For in the beauty of nature, we can better see His beauty and feel His peace.
