Guardian angels

When I was just a baby and my brother a toddler, we were traveling with our young mom and had something quite remarkable happen to us. It was during a time where cell phones did not exist and my mom was put in a scary situation; actually, we all were. While driving on a cold, snowy day, my mom’s car broke down. There was no nearby business to help, my mom sat broken down, with two very small children. She knew that by staying in the cold car, under the circumstances would be more detrimental, than walking to find help. So, with my brother and I held close to her she began to walk. Then, suddenly a random car pulled up to her and told her not to be afraid, that they would bring us somewhere safe. My mom was a little reluctant at first; however, she looked at the faces of an old couple, who seemed completely at peace. She agreed to get in their car. She held me in her lap and my brother as close as she could beside her, as she sat near the door. I do not believe much conversation took place, as much as reassurance. We were taken to a gas station safely, where my mom was able to get help. What was strange was that after they dropped us off, my mom turned around and said it was as though they disappeared. If that couple would not have shown up, it could have ended very badly for us. Instead, we believe, God sent his angels to guide us to safety. Friend, angels do exist. God watches out for us in many ways. So, remember when you find yourself in the snowstorms of life, call on God. He will in His way, guide us to safety. Maybe, it will be through the kindness of a friend, a stranger or maybe, an angel.

Psalm 91:11-14

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
