Quality moments

A small family-owned restaurant sits in the middle of an unexpected spot. Model airplanes hang from the ceiling as the regular waitresses smile as you walk through their doors. There are no gimmicks, and the food is made fresh. It is the same breakfast spot that I have known and loved since I was a kid. My grandparents used to take me here and every time I go in, it as through they are joining me. Since I was a kid, new owners have taken over, yet, it is still kept family-owned with its same charm. It is the same place where my family and I ate breakfast, the day of my husband and I’s wedding. It is the place now where my boys and I will go when we want an extra special breakfast, every so often on our Friday special. For the value this restaurant places on its patrons, allows for our mornings there to be extra special. A place where memories are built, by the quality they give to the people whom walk in. My family has visited this place many times over the years. I am grateful to keep that tradition alive. If you ask my children their favorite breakfast place, they will both say the same as all the rest of us in my family. Friend, in a world that is so bent on being bigger is better, may we not forget the wonderful wholesomeness of the quality in even the small things. It is not always in that big fancy restaurant; sometimes, it is in the quality of a small-town eatery. It is in the quality of where you are, with those that matter most. Walking out feeling full. Not just in your stomachs, but in your heart. Friend, wherever you go, whether to eat or otherwise, I hope you find quality in those special moments. For like God’s love in giving us such moments; memories are built in that wonderful quality in which it comes from.
