God was beside me. When trials came and I wondered how I would survive

God was with me. My safe place, my hope in which to abide

He was with me, when my mountains in this life seemed too high

He was with me, when I felt helpless, how could I survive

God stood with me. When I was broken, discouraged and dismayed

God stood with me. Life renewed, debt paid

God sat with me. As my tears would flow

God sat with me. Through my experienced, help me grow

He was kind. When I did not deserve it

He was kind. With everything, every bit

God was generous. With everything I have been given

God was generous. With everything in this life, I am living

God held me. From my inner being

God held me. From beyond what we can be seeing

He has loved me, despite my human tendency

He has loved, someone such as me

God has always been there in every chapter

God has always been our happily ever after

He is with us all, if we welcome Him in

He is with us all, from when life began

No matter where we are, He always cares

His love and grace, meet us there
