Life is busy. Sometimes it is as though as soon as I finish one task, another is waiting in line to be completed. All of the to-dos and chores seem to become balls to juggle and I am just trying not to drop one. This world is a master at keeping us from having peace my friend. The endless number of tasks can be an easy distraction, from simply living. For if our mind is so concerned about the next thing, it rarely has time to focus on one thing. Not allowing for breaks, disrupts opportunities for quiet moments of peace. Missed opportunities to simply be, whether in just one moment or to just let ourselves come up for air. Friend, this world has many ways to distract us from God and what He intended for our lives. Though tasks are important to complete, those like myself, we have to remember to pause and breathe. Life will be busy at any given moment. However, if we get so hung up on expectations and chores that we forget to live in the moment; we risk losing precious moments with loved ones and most of all, God. As I am writing this to you my friend, it is a written reminder to myself. Slow down, take a breath. Tasks will get completed, but it does not have to be at the expense of being depleted. For sometimes the peace that we need, is the peace that we are not allowing ourselves to have. May we remember in our breath, to praise God for giving us a life worthy of being responsible for. Take a breath and live in the moments of the blessings we have. The people that God has blessed us with in our lives. Friend, take a breath and spend those quiet moments truly connecting with God. For peace is something that comes from God, should we not make that a priority too?!

Psalm 127:2
In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat- for he grants sleep to those he loves.
