Memories

Sometimes I go back to those places in my mind where memories are stored

Of old memories of loved ones passed, that I adored

I think of their smiles and I try to hear their voice and laughter

The sound of them, is what I am after

I find old pictures, of their faces etched in my mind

That cannot be erased, despite time

Old videos that bring me back, to the place I used to know

Before it was their time to go

Loved ones are a blessing, their love always remains

Even as their gone, that love does not change

The mind is like a memory box, where loved ones are the treasure

Priceless jewels, love that cannot be measured

I am grateful to God for these memories from my past

Of loved ones gone, though their love not passed

Friend if there is a loved one, that dances in your mind

Who is no longer here, but taken as was their time

Close your eyes and picture them, the way you remember

So, you can hold a piece of them here forever

Until at least your time does come and you meet again in the sky

For memories last long after goodbye

Memories

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
